नगर के गोल्डन होप स्कूल में श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी महोत्सव मनाया गया। महोत्सव में विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़-चढक़र भाग लिया। समारोह की अध्यक्षता स्कूल के चेयरमैन डा. ललित मनचंदा ने की। नन्हे-मुन्ने बच्चों ने श्री कृष्ण जन्मोत्सव केक काटकर मनाया। बच्चों ने श्री कृष्ण के जीवन से जुड़े प्रसंगों पर कलाकृतियां बनाई। कक्षा 8वीं की छात्रा खुशप्रीत द्वारा केवल कागजों से बनाई गई श्री कृष्ण जी की मनमोहक आकृति ने सभी का मन मोह लिया। बच्चों ने इस अवसर पर मटकी फोड़ प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया। अपने संबोधन में डा. ललित मनचंदा ने कहा कि श्री कृष्ण का जीवन पूर्णत: क्रियाशीलता से भरपूर है और वे अपनी संपूर्णता में ज्ञान की प्रकाष्ठा कहे जाते हैं। श्री कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी का त्यौहार आनंद, सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव और अनेकता में एकता का त्योहार है।
