कस्बे के ब्रह्मानंद पब्लिक स्कूल में स्वास्थ्य विभाग की ओर से चलाए गए ओरल हैल्थ पखवाडे के तहत प्रबंधक विक्रम चौधरी की अध्यक्षता में एक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। जिसमें मुख्य रूप से एएसएमओ डा. राजेश जौहरी व दंत चिकित्यक डा. पूनम शर्मा पहुंचे। उन्होंने स्कूली बच्चों को दांतों की सफाई के अभाव में होने वाले रोगों की विस्तृत जानकारी दी। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने बच्चों को दांत साफ करने के तरीकों से अवगत करवाया। उन्होंने सुबह खानपान से पूर्व व रात को खाना खाने के बाद ब्रुश करने की अनिवार्यता पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि जहां तक हो सके रात को मीठे का सेवन न करें। यदि करे तो तुंरत पानी से कुल्ला करें। कार्यक््रम के अंत में बच्चों से दांतों के स्वास्थ्य से जुडे प्रश्र पूछे गए। जिनको बच्चों ने सही जबाब दिया। इस दौरान विषय पर पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिता आयोजित करवाई गई। जिसमें सुंदर पेंटिंग बनाने वाले बच्चों को एसएमओ डा. जौहरी व डा. पूनम की ओर से पुरस्कार देकर सम्मानित किया गया। डा. जौहरी ने बताया कि स्वास्थ्य विभाग का मकसद बच्चो को दांतों की साफ सफाई का बोध करवाकर बीमारियों पर रोक लगाना है। ताकि बच्चे शिक्षा के लिए नियमित स्कूल जाते रहे। खुद जागरूक बनकर परिवार के सदस्यों को भी जागरूक कर सके। स्कूल प्राचार्य सोनिया चौधरी ने जानकारी को लेकर स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों का आभार व्यक्त किया।
